Brentford lining up transfer offer for ex-Man Utd flop keeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic after impressing at Torino

BRENTFORD are plotting a swoop for ex-Manchester United flop Vanja Milinkovic-Savic.

The goalkeeper moved to Old Trafford back in 2014 from Serbian club Vojvodina.

He then suffered work permit issues that prevented him from making an appearance for the club.

And that led to his departure from United just a year later having failed to make any impact.

Now TuttoSport claims that Brentford are lining up a bid to give the now Torino stopper a second shot at the Premier League.

The 6ft 7ins giant played for Polish side Lechia Gdansk after his frustrating stint in England before Torino signed him five years ago.

The Serbia international made 27 Serie A appearances last season and conceded just 33 goals.

Now 25, he went out on loan to Italian clubs SPAL and Ascoli, plus Belgians Standard Liege, before establishing himself in Turin.

His brother Sergej, 27, has shone in Lazio’s midfield since 2015 and regularly catches the eye of Premier League clubs.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank is looking to strengthen his squad after an impressive first top-flight season.

And the Dane is thought eager for Spain-born Milinkovic-Savic to provide competition for Bees No.1 David Raya.

The West Londoners are reportedly yet to submit an official bid for the four-cap ace.

But Torino are believed willing to make a deal as they plot a major close-season shakeup of their squad.

However, the Bees face competition to sign the ace as Fiorentina are also keen on snapping up him up.
