BT Sport inundated with Zoom requests after accidentally sharing details of call with Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson

LIVERPOOL fans tried in vain to gatecrash Jordan Henderson’s Premier League-winning victory speech on a Zoom call with BT Sport.

The broadcaster accidentally shared details of the call to the public when the England international was speaking following Chelsea’s victory against Manchester City that secured the Reds’ triumph.

Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson spoke to BT Sport after the club were confirmed as Premier League champions

Reds fans tried to get in Henderson’s Zoom call, but none were successful

It is the Reds’ first top-flight title since 1990, and supporters were quick to try and capitalise in sharing the moment with skipper Henderson.

But despite many efforts to join the Zoom call, none of the individuals were successful as Henderson spoke of his sheer delight at the club’s stunning season.

He said: “Amazing. I didn’t want to talk about it till this moment. Its amazing to finally get over the line.

“So happy for all the boys, the fans, the club the city.

“I’m a little bit overwhelmed right now, amazing feeling. So proud of what we’ve achieved.”

Henderson then discussed how the feeling of winning the title without a victory on the pitch is different to how he felt when the club lifted the Champions League last campaign.

He added: “When we won the Champions League it was a different experience being on the pitch.

“Then watching the game tonight and the final whistle going being with everyone, all the staff, another moment in our lives we’ll never forget. I can’t really describe it.

“I said after the Champions League final it wouldn’t be possible to do that without the manager [Jurgen Klopp] and it’s the same with this title.

“It’s no disrespect to the managers we’ve had before but since day one he came in the door and he changed everything and we’ve done every thing he said, followed him, and believed in him.”

Liverpool players filmed their reaction on Thursday night as Willian netted the deciding goal that secured them their first-ever Premier League title.
