Casemiro could be unveil to Man Utd fans tonight

Raphael Varane joined from Real Madrid last summer and was also unveiled at Old Trafford before a match, versus Leeds

The duo were both part of the Real Madrid squad that won three back-to-back Champions Leagues and the Frenchman has played a key role in convincing Casemiro out of Los Blancos.

He has been persuaded by the chance of a new challenge and an agreement happened quickly highlighting both parties eagerness to get the transfer done.

Man Utd have splashed £60million on the 30-year-old with the deal potentially rising to £70milliion if clauses are met.

He is set to be on around £375,000-a-week, more than Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho and similar to what David de Gea earns, claim The Athletic.

The Brazilian will sign a four-year contract at Old Trafford after visa issues delayed the move meaning he was not registered in time to face Liverpool this evening.

Casemiro is an experienced international who has 63 caps for his national side.

During his spell at Real Madrid he won three LaLiga titles and five Champions League trophies.

He formed part of an iconic midfield trio alongside Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.

Casemiro played 336 games for the Spanish giants scoring 31 goals and assisting a further 29.

United have chased Barcelona man Frenkie de Jong all summer but Casemiro brings a different skillset and is more defensive minded.

As for Varane, the centre-back had a tough opening season in England as United slumped to a bad season finishing in 6th.

Despite Erik ten Hag coming in the poor form has continued with the manager stressing that his side should take their anger out on Liverpool after their humiliation away at Brentford last week.
