Chelsea ‘agree £22m transfer fee’ with Rennes for keeper Mendy as Cech finally pushes through deal

RENNES’ keeper Edouard Mendy has agreed a £22million Chelsea switch, reports say.

The Senegal star, 28, seems certain to become Frank Lampard’s seventh summer signing within days.

Edouard Mendy is tipped to arrive imminently at Chelsea to challenge Kepa for his No1 shirt

And he will aim to quickly push £71.6m Kepa Arrizabalaga for his Blues’ No1 shirt.

Mendy is thought to have accepted a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge, having only joined Rennes from Ligue 1 rivals Reims in August 2019.
