CHELSEA announced three signings on Instagram today.

But it turned out to be a cruel prank as they unveiled mobile phone network operator Three as their new shirt sponsor from next season.

And the move backfired spectacularly as fans reacted with fury to the brutal trolling.

Chelsea are yet to make a single signing this window despite their current talents stuttering to a halt.

The Blues have won just two of their last six games.

But they somehow remain six points clear of Man Utd, Spurs and Wolves in the final Champions League spot.

Supporters are desperate for Frank Lampard to make some signings, with the gaffer himself admitting hes searching for reinforcements in attacking areas.

And Chelsea are believed to also be interested in signing Lyons Moussa Dembele.

So supporters were understandably curious when they saw Chelsea make a supposed transfer announcement this afternoon.

However, once they read the post in full on Instagram, they were left with a bad taste in their mouths.

An accompanying picture showed Lampard, Cesar Azpilicueta, Womens captain Magdalena and Womens boss Emma Hayes posing with a shirt bearing the number 3.

The deal means Chelseas five-year partnership with Japanese tyre manufacturers Yokohama comes to an end this summer.

But supporters were left incensed, with one barking: Fully violating it.

Another steamed: Wheres our three signings then?

One yelled: Are we a joke to you?

Another bellowed: Who the f is running the club bro?

However, they may be pleased to hear that Chelsea are looking to poach talented youngster Angel Gomes from rivals Manchester United.

SunSport can exclusively reveal the teenager is wanted by Chelsea as he approaches the end of his Red Devils contract.

United have made a last-ditch attempt to keep Gomes at Old Trafford.

But Chelsea could lure him to Stamford Bridge, with Lampard keen on regularly blooding youngsters in his starting XI.

The former player takes his Blues to Hull this weekend for their FA Cup fourth round tie.

And the likes of Fikayo Tomori, Mason Mount and Callum Hudson-Odoi are all set to feature in a much-changed side.
