Chelsea boss Frank Lampard and wife Christine chat to mounted police as they take stroll with daughter Patricia

FRANK LAMPARD and wife Christine happily chatted to mounted police as they went for a family stroll on Thursday.

The Chelsea chief and Loose Women presenter, both 41, went for a walk with one-year-old Patricia around London.

The pair looked in good spirits as they went out for a stroll

And the pair appeared in high spirits as they talked with cops on horseback – checking locals were observing social distancing rules – while enjoying their daily dose of fresh air.

Grinning Lampard clutched a coffee as he sported a casual look, wearing a black Nike hoody and grey joggers, paired with white trainers.

Christine also embraced the casual vibe, wearing cropped jeans with a khaki jacket – completed with some white trainers of her own.

Meanwhile, baby Patricia wore a pink jacket as she was ferried around in a pushchair.

Lamps took the stroll with the Premier League still on lockdown and the fate of the 2019-20 season still up in the air – with three potential scenarios should the campaign not be deemed null and void.

But the Blues chief reckons the future is bright for his young Stamford Bridge crew, saying: “There has been a lot of hard work at those clubs in terms of recruitment of top players, of great coaches and of players working to improve themselves.

“Now we have good young players and experienced players who have helped them this year.

“Going into this break I certainly felt we were moving in the right direction.

“With potentially bringing in some players in key areas, we think we could bridge that gap [to Liverpool and Manchester City].

“I have a strong belief we can challenge for titles in the future.”

Meanwhile, Christine enjoyed the walk as she recovered from an emotional morning on Loose Women.

The ITV presenter broke down in tears over her NHS friend’s courage, asking co-host Stacey Solomon to take over for her.

Christine spoke of her friend Rachel, who works for the NHS in intensive care at the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald, Northern Ireland.

And she said: “This is the moment I would absolutely like to give out every bit of love I possibly can to my sister’s best friend.

“I’ve known her since she was a little girl.

“This is a young girl, same age as my sister in her late 30s. She’s a daughter, wife, mother of two young boys and there she is going to work every day.”

Christine continued: “It gets me emotional thinking about it as they’re putting their lives at risk all the time for us.

“I just get so emotional event time I think about it.

I find it so difficult to think they have to worry about their little children and yet all I have to do is stay inside my house and it just puts it all into perspective.

“I told her I wasn’t going to cry today, take over Stacey.”
