Chelsea ‘close to agreement with Napoli over Kepa loan transfer but Blues will have to pay 75 PER CENT of his wages’

CHELSEA goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is reportedly closing in on a loan switch to Napoli.

But it has been claimed that the Blues will still have to pay 75 per cent of the Spaniard’s weekly wages.

Kepa Arrizabalaga could leave Chelsea for Napoli in a loan deal this summer

The 27-year-old will be allowed to depart Stamford Bridge this summer with Edouard Mendy Thomas Tuchel’s No1 choice.

It was stated earlier in the week how Napoli were eyeing up a loan swoop with the option to turn the deal permanent.

And according to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Serie A side are close to finding an agreement with Chelsea for the ex-Athletic Bilbao ace.

The transfer guru has declared that the West London outfit will demand Luciano Spalletti’s side pay a £1.25million loan fee.

And the Italian reporter has insisted that Chelsea will pay 75 per cent of Arrizabalaga’s £150,000-a-week salary.

Kepa is desperate to be playing regularly in his bid to be named in Luis Enrique’s World Cup squad.

Napoli are in the market for a new goalkeeper after David Ospina left to join Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr on a free transfer.

In what is expected to be a busy upcoming week for Chelsea, Timo Werner could follow Kepa out the door.

The German forward is understood to have agreed a 50 per cent pay cut in order to return to RB Leipzig on loan.

Werner has struggled for form in his two years in England, with the player failing to showcase his lethal prowess in front of goal as he did back in the Bundesliga.

Meanwhile, SunSport has exclusively revealed how Ruben Loftus-Cheek is attracting interest from Crystal Palace.

Another loan deal is in the offing for the midfielder, who enjoyed a successful stint at Selhurst Park in the 2017-18 season.
