Chelsea could sell £72m Kante to Real Madrid to raise funds for £150m transfer splurge on Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell

CHELSEA could sell N’Golo Kante to Real Madrid this summer to raise transfer funds, according to reports.

Frank Lampard has got his sights set on signing Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen and Leicester star Ben Chilwell.

N’Golo Kante has made 18 appearances in the Premier League this season

According to AS, Chelsea are prepared to sell Kante to boost their chances of landing their top targets.

Real Madrid are believed to have reignited their interest in the French World Cup winner.

Zinedine Zidane’s side have been heavily linked to the midfielder as a replacement for Casemiro.

Paris Saint-Germain have also indicated their interest in Kante – who joined Chelsea from Leicester in 2016.

Chelsea are expected to use the midfielder’s transfer fee to fund their move for Havertz this summer.

SunSport exclusively revealed the Blues are in pole position to sign the 20-year-old despite interest from Real Madrid.

The German star, who has scored five goals in four games since the Bundesliga restarted, is expected to cost £70million.

Frank Lampard is determined to complete a major overhaul of his squad at the end of the 2019/20 campaign.

Chelsea have already shelled out around £37million to sign Hakim Ziyech from Ajax.

The Blues have also all but signed Timo Werner from RB Leipzig after they activated his £50million release clause.

But they are not able to announce the deal yet as his medical has been delayed due to the coronavirus crisis.

Chelsea want to lure Chilwell from Leicester as they look to replace Emerson and Marcos Alonso this summer.

And they were handed a huge boost as it emerged the Foxes are reportedly lining up a move for Nicolas Tagliafico to replace him.
