Newcastle and Crystal Palace Target Teenager
Chelsea is reportedly demanding £30million for their talented young player Lewis Hall.
The 18-year-old has caught the attention of both Newcastle and Crystal Palace this summer.
Hall was expected to be loaned out for the season, with Crystal Palace being close to agreeing on a temporary transfer.
Possible Permanent Move Due to Chelsea's Spending Spree
However, due to Chelsea's significant spending on transfers this summer, there is now talk of a permanent move for the academy graduate.
Last season, Hall made 12 appearances for the Chelsea first team, primarily as a left-back or wing-back.
During his time in the academy, he played mainly in midfield.
Highly Regarded Prospect
Hall is considered a huge prospect by players and staff at Stamford Bridge.
The pressure to sell academy talents has increased as Chelsea has spent over £900million since the arrival of Todd Boehly.
Financially, selling academy graduates represents pure profit and helps meet Financial Fair Play regulations.
Previous Departures and Potential Future Exits
This summer, Chelsea has already seen the departures of Mason Mount, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Ethan Ampadu, who all came through the Cobham academy.
There is also a possibility that Conor Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah could join them in leaving the club.
Contract Details
Hall is currently under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2026.
