CHELSEA fans are urging the club to activate Jeremie Bogas buy-back clause after he continued his blistering form for Sassuolo.
The winger, 23, grabbed his seventh Serie A goal of the campaign with a stoppage-time winner against SPAL 2013 on Sunday.
Having failed to make the breakthrough at Stamford Bridge, the Ivory Coast international moved to Italy in July 2018 for around 3.5million.
He has since bagged ten goals and grabbed five assists in 50 appearances, with nine of those contributions coming this season.
Sassuolos president Giovanni Carnevali recently confirmed the Blues do have a buy-back option on the attacker.
He said: Chelsea can redeem Boga in June. We have a great relationship with the club and we already met them before Christmas also for other business.
They can take him back but we can also re-sign him, everything is open.
With Boga recently admitted he wouldjump at the chance to return to Chelsea, telling Foot Mercato: It is true that [leaving Chelsea] was a shame.
Aside from that, I have no regrets. Each thing comes into its own time. It was certainly not the time for me to play for Chelsea.
I always keep that in the corner of my head. If I continue to do what I am doing, work hard, maybe I will be back one day.
Now the Shed End faithful have taken to social media to urge the club to bring him back to replace veterans Pedro and Willian on the wings.
One fan wrote: It’s a decision that requires no thought – bringing Boga back has to be one of our summer transfer activities. He is better than all our wingers right now.
Another commented: Deffo better then Willian anyday.
A fellow Chelsea supporter said: Needs to improve on his decision making and end product nothing a couple of games more and maturity won’t fix. Otherwise huge talent. Don’t know why we sold him in the first place.
And with speculation mounting the Blues are targeting Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund as their No.1 transfer target, one fan says it would be criminal if they failed to bring Boga back to pair him up with the England whizkid down the channels.
They said: Jeremie #Boga is having a mad season with #Sassuolo. Not re-signing him along with signing Jadon #Sancho this summer to replace both #Pedro and #Willian would be criminal.
