Chelsea in Raphinha transfer boost as Barcelona submit ‘significantly lower final offer’ to Leeds than Blues bid

CHELSEA receive transfer boost as they try and beat Barcelona to the signing of Brazilian winger Raphinha.

Leeds are said to be keen on completing the sale of Raphinha before they head off on their pre season tour to Australia.

Raphinha remains linked with Chelsea and Barcelona

The Catalan Giants and the Blues are both keen on signing the tricky winger.

However, according to Spanish outlet Sport Tuchel’s Chelsea are offering a more lucrative deal to Leeds.

It is widely reported that Raphinha would prefer a move to Barcelona providing the two clubs can come to an agreement.

Barcelona have reportedly submitted their final offer to Leeds which reaches £46.6 million, plus variables.

But Chelsea have agreed a fee of £55m with Leeds, to beat rivals Arsenal for the maverick winger.

Raphinha was the shining star in a Leeds side that struggled throughout the season.

An impressive 11 goals and three assists has led to lots of interest from clubs all over Europe.

Spurs and Arsenal were also interested before the signings of Richarlison and Gabriel Jesus.

Leeds manager Marsch in a recent interview said “There’s urgency from his end to come up with a solution. I know he has hopes and dreams… we’ll see in the next few days”.

“We’ll see how things progress day by day for Raphinha”

With the player’s future up in the air, Leeds boss Marsch says the club are still to decide whether Raphinha will travel on their pre-season tour of Australia.

Leeds are set to face five games in eight days on their pre season tour in Australia facing the likes of Blackpool, Brisbane Roar, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Cagliari.
