Chelsea insiders frustrated as club offloads talent while keeping disappointing signings

Club's transfer dealings cause disappointment and frustration

Insiders at Chelsea are reportedly growing frustrated with the club's transfer dealings. The recent departure of academy graduate Lewis Hall to Newcastle United on loan with an option to buy has raised concerns that talented prospects are being let go to fund big money signings. Those within the club are also said to be frustrated that Marc Cucurella, despite his poor performance last season, remains at Stamford Bridge.

Financial Fair Play concerns

Chelsea is currently in a delicate position with regard to Financial Fair Play (FFP) as the club has spent almost £1 billion in the last three transfer windows. The arrival of Todd Boehly has resulted in the club bringing in an incredible 24 new players, forcing them to offload several players this summer to balance the books. Lewis Hall is one of those players who has been pushed out of the door.

High-profile departures

In addition to Lewis Hall, other big names have left Stamford Bridge. Kai Havertz has joined Arsenal, Mason Mount is heading to Manchester United, and Mateo Kovacic has signed for treble winners Manchester City.

Struggles on the pitch

Despite the significant number of incoming and outgoing transfers, Chelsea is still struggling on the pitch. The team suffered a 3-1 defeat to West Ham over the weekend and has yet to secure a win this season under the management of Mauricio Pochettino.
