DIEGO COSTA was caught in a heated row during Wolves’ match against Crystal Palace last night.

The former Chelsea striker is known for his fiery temper on the pitch and it seems time away from the Premier League has not calmed him down.

Wolves striker Diego Costa was involved in a heated argument with Crystal Palace players during the Premier League match

Costa was raging after battling with Palace defender Joachim Andersen

In the 75th minute of the match with Palace in the lead, tempers boiled over as defender Joachim Andersen wrestled Costa to the ground.

In fairness, both gave as good as they got and referee David Coote gave the pair of them a telling-off.

But it was Costa that would lose the war as he was subbed shortly afterwards by interim manager Steve Davis.

Palace would go on to win the game thanks to their second-half comeback with goals coming from Eberechi Eze and Wilfried Zaha.

Costa returned to English football this season as he joined Wolves on a free transfer.

The West Midlands based club signed the Spaniard in order to cover for Raul Jiminez and summer signing Sasa Kalajdzic who have both struggled with injuries.

Kalajdzic had surgery on an ACL injury that he picked up 45 minutes into his Premier League debut in September and is expected to be out for the long term.

It had been hoped that Costa would be able to show some of his Chelsea form for the Molineaux club but has so far failed to hit the net.

During his time as a Blue, the 34-year-old scored 59 goals in 120 appearances in all competitions and won the Premier League title twice.

The weak frontline has cost Wolves so far this season as the team has been toothless in front of goal, leading to them slumping into 17th place.

Manager Bruno Lage was sacked after the defeat to West Ham at the London Stadium at the start of October but is yet to be replaced.
