Chelsea ‘line up’ transfer for Ajax keeper Onana and can land him for £25m but Tottenham, Barcelona and PSG also keen

CHELSEA are reportedly lining up a £25million move for Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana.

The Mirror claims Frank Lampard is ready to sell club-record signing Kepa Arrizabalaga this summer.

Chelsea are lining up a £25m bid for Ajax star Andre Onana

And he apparently wants Onana to line up between the sticks at Stamford Bridge.

Lamps got a good look at the Cameroon international, 24, earlier this season as Chelsea faced Ajax twice in the Champions League group stage.

Onana is confident with the ball at his feet and commands his goal well, two characteristics key to Chelsea’s new style of play but which current keeper Kepa lacks.

Lampard believes £25m should be enough to secure Onana’s signature after already agreeing to sign Ajax teammate Hakim Ziyech for £35m.

However, Chelsea will have to see off competition from a number of teams if they want to see Onana in west London.

It’s reckoned capital rivals Spurs are also interested with Jose Mourinho weighing up Hugo Lloris’ future after some dodgy performances.

Paris Saint-Germain are keeping close tabs with Keylor Navas likely to spend just one more season in France.

And former club Barcelona are also monitoring Onana’s situation as they struggle to get Marc Andre ter Stegen to sign a new contract.

Indeed, Onana – who is contracted to Ajax until 2022 – admits he would welcome a Nou Camp return.

Onana told Canal Afrique: “It’s hard to say because with Barcelona, I am still in very good relations with the president, the coaches.

“Barca is my home. I i have to go back, I will go back. But today we are still far from it.

“I’m the Ajax goalie and we’ll see what happens at the end of the season.

“I only take care of the ball game, what happens at the stadium. The rest are my agents who manage.”

Chelsea are reportedly looking at outfield signings too, with Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho a target once his Bayern Munich loan ends.

Lampard could also resurrect his interest in Dries Mertens, who snubbed a January move to Chelsea but is now set to leave Napoli on a free transfer.

The Blues face potential outgoings too, with Willian expect to depart when his contract expires.

However, a bigger worry for Lampard will be Real Madrid’s reported interest in N’Golo Kante.
