Chelsea ‘offer forgotten man Kenedy to Sevilla for Jules Kounde instead of Kurt Zouma’ in swap transfer

CHELSEA have offered winger Kenedy to Sevilla in an attempt to finalise a move for defender Jules Kounde, according to reports.

It’s believed the European champions have agreed personal terms with the Frenchman and are trying to negotiate a fee with the LaLiga side.

The Blues are believed to have offered Kenedy, 25, as part of the deal

According to Goal, Chelsea offered Kenedy to Sevilla but the Spanish club are NOT interested in the 25-year-old.

The Blues are yet to agree a fee with Sevilla for Kounde, 22, and are reportedly unwilling to activate his £68million release clause.

It’s believed Sevilla have already rejected a offer worth £30m plus Kurt Zouma for the highly-rated defender.

Kounde helped Sevilla win the Europa League in August 2020 and was part of France’s squad for this summer’s European Championships.

West Ham are now thought to be keen on signing Zouma in a £20m deal, with the 26-year-old reportedly wanting to stay in London.

Kenedy is said to be interested in joining Brazilian side Flamengo after spending the last two seasons on loan at Getafe and Granada.

The winger failed to impress at either Spanish side, managing a combined total of five goals in 47 LaLiga appearances.

Kenedy has played just 15 Premier League games for Chelsea since moving to England from Fluminense in June 2015.

The Brazilian ace has also spent time on loan at Watford and Newcastle but struggled to make an impact, scoring just three Prem goals.

Chelsea are also in the hunt for a new striker this summer, with Inter Milan rejecting a bid for Romelu Lukaku.

The Blues offered the Serie A champions £86m plus Marcos Alonso for their former striker but have been told to stump up £100m.

Unlike Sevilla, Inter will reportedly accept Alonso as part of the deal as new manager Simone Inzaghi is thought to be a fan of the defender.
