HAKIM ZIYECH flew straight to Holland to watch former clubs Ajax and FC Twente in action after helping Chelsea win the Club World Cup.

The 28-year-old came off the bench against Palmeiras in Saturday’s final in Abu Dhabi, before attending the clash at the Johan Cruyff Arena the following day.

Ziyech then headed over to Holland to watch former clubs Ajax and Twente face each other

Former Morocco international Ziyech joined the Blues from Dutch giants Ajax in 2020 in a £37million deal.

Ziyech spent four years at Ajax where he won the Eredivisie title and KNVB Cup once each, while also chipping in with 49 goals and 81 assists in 165 games.

Prior to his switch to the Amsterdam outfit, he enjoyed two seasons with Twente where he banged in 34 goals and provided 30 assists from 76 matches.

And on Sunday he was present at Ajax’s ground to watch them storm to a 5-0 win to remain five points clear of PSV at the top of the table.

Former West Ham flop Sebastian Haller scored a hat-trick in the rout to bring up his tally to 28 goals in all competitions this term.

Ajax shared snaps of Ziyech watching on from the stands on their Instagram account, captioning the pictures: “Hakim is in the houseeee!”

Ziyech is now back in London as he prepares for Saturday’s away trip against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

He took to social media on Wednesday night of him in Chelsea training gear.

Captioning his Instagram post, he stated: “Ready for what’s coming.”

Ziyech recently made the decision to retire from international duty following a fallout with Morocco boss Vahid Halilhodzic.

He said: “Obviously I understand them (the fans), but I will not be returning to the national team.

“It’s my final decision. It’s all clear for me how things are going over there. I’m focusing on what I’m doing, and right now that’s my club.

“At the end of the day, it’s a decision (Halilhodzic) makes and you have to respect it. If all the lying comes with it, it’s for me clear.

“Like I said before, I will not return to the national team. I feel sorry for (the fans), but that’s the situation right now.”
