Erik ten Hag is relishing the prospect of working with Eriksen
United then have a week without a match before jetting to Norway for a game against Atletico Madrid on July 30.
Eriksen officially joined United as a free agent last week and will begin training when the squad returns from Australia, according to the Telegraph.
Upon signing Eriksen spoke of how excited he was to work under new boss Ten Hag.
And the feeling between the pair is mutual.
Old Trafford gaffer Ten Hag is also relishing the chance to work with the playmaker, who caught they eye in his short spell at Brentford in the second half of last season.
Ten Hag said on his new signing: “The expectations are there. That’s why we get him.
“I’m convinced he will fit into the squad and in certain facts of our game, he will help us. I’m looking forward to that.
“He’s an experienced player. He plays in countries abroad, in Italy, in Holland, a long time in England, so he knows the Premier League. It’s an absolute advantage that we have him in.”
Ten Hag also praised Eriksen for his vision – and predicted that the club’s strikers will be happy with his arrival.
The Denmark international provided four assists in 11 games for the Bees.
Ten Hag continued on Eriksen: “I think he is a magnificent football player and I think the fans will enjoy watching him, because he’s creative, he has ideas.
“I think especially our strikers will also be happy because he’s the one who can involve them in the game.”
But whether it’s Cristiano Ronaldo or Anthony Martial who Eriksen is laying on assists for still remains to be seen, with CR7 wanting out at Old Trafford.
Martial on the other hand has been in fine form during pre-season, which has had all United fans saying the same thing.
