Cristiano Ronaldo reveals date he will QUIT football as 37-year-old striker targets more trophies at Man Utd

CRISTIANO RONALDO wants to play for FIVE more years before calling it a day.

The Manchester United star, 37, has already enjoyed a glittering career during which he has won numerous trophies in Europe’s three biggest leagues.

Cristiano Ronaldo still has plenty of gas in the tank

But the Portuguese icon still has a thirst for more.

Speaking to Dazn about his future, he said: “It’s hard to say that I don’t want more, because if I’m at a club that gives me the opportunity to win more things, why not?

“I know I don’t have many years left playing, four or five more, we’ll see, and I want to win more things.”

Ronaldo has copped plenty of flak for his performances this season, with the Red Devils having underachieved.

But he remains happy with his impact, adding: “The facts are facts, the rest doesn’t matter at all.

“That’s why I’m very happy with my form, I’m still scoring goals, helping both in the national team and at Manchester United and that’s why I want to continue like this.”

Ronaldo recently endured a six-game goal drought – which ended with his brilliant strike against Brighton last week.

He has scored nine goals in 22 Premier League appearances, and has excelled in the Champions League.

CR7 has six goals in six European outings this term – including huge late winners against Atalanta and Villarreal.

Playing on for another five years would enable Ronaldo to play at THREE more major international tournaments.

CR7 is desperate to overcome Italy and qualify for the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

While he may also be targeting Euro 2024 in Germany and the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada.

Should he appear at the tournament it could be his sixth World Cup – and his 12th major international finals.
