CRISTIANO RONALDO was snubbed by his Manchester United team-mates as David de Gea won the Players’ Player of the Year award.
The 37-year-old superstar Ronaldo had an admirable individual season, scoring 24 goals in all competitions.
However goalkeeper De Gea, 31, took home the prize after playing every single minute of United’s league campaign.
The Spaniard was named man of the match seven times during a disappointing overall campaign for the Red Devils.
Ronaldo saved the bacon of his United team-mates several times, including a sensational hat-trick against last-placed Norwich to avoid an embarrassing result.
He scored six vital goals in seven Champions League games, but it wasn’t enough to get through Atletico Madrid in the last-16.

In the end, only Golden Boot award winners, Mo Salah and Son Heung-min, scored more than the Portuguese captain.
But it wasn’t all plain-sailing for Ron, as a turbulent relationship with Ralf Rangnick plagued the side all season.
Former Boss Rangnick admitted he was baffled by Ronaldo’s tantrums.
The hot shot raced down the tunnel following a match with Burnley, snubbing opposition players and travelling Man Utd fans.

Rangnick said after the game: “Cristiano, as we all know, is 37. He knows himself what he should do or not do.
“Our focus is on those things we can influence and develop.
“Why he left the pitch directly after the final whistle? Maybe he was also disappointed that we only got a draw and that he didn’t score.
“Again, this is not any kind of energy we should waste. We put our full focus on those things we can influence.”
Ronaldo said “things must change” at Old Trafford under new gaffer Erik ten Hag, but believes the club CAN win trophies.
The star striker seemingly confirmed his intentions to stay at Old Trafford by revealing he is still pleased to be at the club.
Speaking on last season’s emotional return, he revealed: “I was and still am very happy to be here.”
