CRISTIANO RONALDO has reportedly turned down a move to Inter Miami.
The 37-year-old superstar has decided to stay at Manchester United where he may be named captain.
David Beckham was supposedly trying to tempt old pal Ronnie to join his MLS team.
The Daily Star reports that Beckham and Inter Miami “explored the chances” of luring his ex-Real Madrid team-mate in a bid to “boost the team’s performance and brand”.
It would have been a move in the same mould as Gareth Bale – who confirmed his signing with Los Angeles FC this week – but Ronaldo will stay at Old Trafford.
And the Mirror report that new boss Erik ten Hag may hand the armband to the Portugal legend.

Ronaldo would be an obvious choice and is already in the leadership group at United.
He was also the club’s top goalscorer with 24 goals in all competitions in 2021-22.

He will go a full season without a trophy for the first in 12 years.

Club legend Gary Neville moaned that the club has become a “graveyard” for players.
