Crystal Palace Set to Offer New Contract to Midfielder Eberechi Eze

Palace's Plan to Ward off Competition

Crystal Palace is making a move to secure the future of their midfield maestro, Eberechi Eze. The club is reportedly prepared to offer the 25-year-old a significant pay rise along with a new contract in order to keep the giants of the game at bay. The Eagles want to replicate their success in retaining Michael Olise and are even considering including a fixed release price in Eze's deal.

Big Money Move on the Horizon?

If the new contract is signed, it would leave the door open for top clubs like Manchester City and Barcelona to potentially make a move for Eze later in his career.

Rapid Rise at Crystal Palace

Eberechi Eze has flourished at Crystal Palace since joining from QPR in 2020. His performances have earned him a place in the England squad and a debut cap is expected in the near future.

Retaining Olise's Ambitions

Crystal Palace successfully fended off competition from Chelsea to retain the services of midfielder Michael Olise. The promising 21-year-old was rewarded with a salary increase and a four-year deal. However, it is believed that Olise's long-term ambitions lie elsewhere, and the club may be open to selling him when the right opportunity arises.

Possible Move for Adam Wharton

Crystal Palace is also looking to make a move for Blackburn's promising midfield talent, Adam Wharton. The club's transfer chief, Dougie Freedman, recently scouted the 19-year-old and is eager to reach an agreement either now or for next summer. Wharton has attracted interest from several clubs, including Everton, Brighton, and Newcastle. Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United could also join the race for his signature.

Sweetener in the Deal?

As part of a potential agreement, Palace may consider allowing young attacker Jesurun Rak-Sakyi to go out on loan to Blackburn. The Championship club has shown keen interest in the promising talent.
