Dele Alli ‘given green light to QUIT Tottenham in January transfer window’ and revive career after falling out of favour

DELE ALLI will be available for transfer next month, according to reports.

The midfielder hasn’t started a Premier League game since September, and has played just two minutes of domestic action since Antonio Conte‘s arrival as boss.

Dele Alli is out of favour at Spurs

Alli, 25, has struggled for form during the last two seasons in North London.

But he could soon be offered the opportunity to revitalise his career elsewhere.

According to the Telegraph, he is set to be on the market next month.

They reckon that chairman Daniel Levy would ideally like to negotiate a permanent transfer with a decent transfer fee for the 37-cap England international.

But a loan could also be on the table – possibly including an option or obligation to buy.

Alli was close to joining Paris Saint-Germain on loan in January – in a move that would have seen him reunite with Mauricio Pochettino.

But the transfer fell through after Spurs failed to land a replacement.

There is set to be plenty of interest in Alli, after his previous exploits in a Tottenham shirt.

He achieved double figures in goals and assists for three seasons running between 2015 and 2018.

But amid injuries and upheaval at Spurs, his production rates have since dried up.

Newcastle have been tentatively linked with Alli, as they fight to avoid the drop.

Although Rio Ferdinand believes that Conte’s arrival at Spurs could be a ‘turning point’ for Dele.

He said on his FIVE podcast: “Conte, he doesn’t suffer fools, he doesn’t accept standards that are below what he sets. So I’m sure this is again a great opportunity.

“He’s now got a manager who’s going to have huge demands, be demanding of him constantly every day. And that might be the turning point for Dele.”
