Dele Alli OUT for rest of season after being sent back to Everton with injury following disastrous Besiktas loan spell

DELE ALLI is reportedly set to miss the rest of the season after picking up a hip muscle injury.

The 26-year-old returned to Everton over the weekend for treatment on the problem.

Dele Alli has reportedly been ruled out for the rest of the season with a muscle injury

And he has been ruled out for up to ten weeks with the issue, according to the Daily Mail.

Alli was given permission to fly back to the UK after picking up the injury while on loan at Turkish club Besiktas.

Everton boss Sean Dyche was asked about the 37-cap England midfielder following Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Manchester United.

Dyche said: “He is just getting some treatment and he is injured.

“He is under contract in a loan there.”

Meawhile, Besiktas manager Senol Gunes said, via The Athletic: “Let Dele Alli recover from his injury.

“Then we’ll take care of him. If he wants to stay, let him stay. If he wants to go, let him go.

“Let the conditions be good economically.”

But the Mail now claim Alli is set to miss the remainder of the campaign, meaning he has likely played his last game for Besiktas.

The former Tottenham man last appeared for the club at the end of February, having joined on a season-long loan deal from the Toffees last summer.

In total he has played 15 games for the Turkish outfit – scoring three goals.

Alli is under contract at Everton until the end of next season, and the Mail claim he will assess his future in the summer after recovering from injury.

Last month Besiktas boss Gunes accused Alli of going AWOL from training, before Alli himself clarified on social media that the club had given him permission to attend a doctor’s appointment.

On Monday a picture emerged of Alli with a balloon in his mouth surrounded by what appear to be gas canisters.
