Diego Costa’s top seven mad moments from fighting Gabriel to Conte bust-up as ex-Chelsea hot-head returns to Prem

DIEGO COSTA is officially BACK in the Premier League.

And his return can only mean one thing – more moments of utter madness.

Diego Costa has sealed a return to the Premier League

The striker was part of a crazy announcement video with the Molineux club

The former Chelsea striker has joined Wolves on a free transfer after ripping up his Atletico Mineiro contract back in January.

Costa has won 12 trophies in an illustrious playing career, but his acts of insanity over the years nearly outnumber his successes on the pitch.

Whether it be grappling with former Arsenal man Gabriel Paulista, his crazy Wolves announcement video, or the general tendency to square up to absolutely anyone, Costa has done it all.

Here SunSport take a look through seven of his maddest moments.

That Arsenal encounter

Playing for Chelsea back in 2015, Costa somehow managed to avoid a red card for putting his hands in Laurent Koscielny’s face and hitting out in the Arsenal man’s direction.

Instead ex-Gunner Gabriel Paulista was given his marching orders for confronting Costa and kicking out in his direction, with the Chelsea man hitting the deck VERY easily.

Costa was subsequently hit with a three-game ban for violent conduct by the FA.

In typical Costa fashion, he came back to the Premier League with a bang.

The forward handled a real life pack of WOLVES for his announcement video with his new side.

The clip showed three wolves on chains walking through a dark corridor, as the Spanish striker tried to control them from behind.

Flooring the Chelsea physio

Ex-Chelsea skipper John Terry shared footage of the time Costa floored club physio Billy McCulloch.

In a makeshift boxing match Costa sent McCulloch sprawling to the deck with a brutal combination.

Driving a cart on the training ground

Another of Costa’s hilarious pranks at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground saw him zoom round the pitches on a motorised cart.

Feeling mischievous, Costa stole the keys to the cart and went for a spin while his team-mates tried to train.

He then proceeded to smash up a number of practise hurdles laid out by Blues coaches.

Flicking spit at Sergio Ramos

This one came during Costa’s first spell with Atletico Madrid.

In a clash with bitter rivals Real, Costa was seen spitting into his hands before throwing the contents in the direction of Sergio Ramos.

Ramos himself did appear to start the spitting war, but only after he had been the target of a Costa headbutt.

Stamping on Emre Can

This one in January 2015 also saw Costa charged with violent conduct and handed a three-game ban.

The striker stamped on Liverpool midfielder Emre Can during a League Cup semi-final second leg, before appearing to do the same to Martin Skrtel later in the match.

Neither incident were picked up by the match officials, but Costa might have to watch his back with VAR now in the Premier League.

Manager mayhem

Last but not least, Costa and his infamous manager bust-ups.

Then Chelsea manager Antonio Conte informed Costa via TEXT that the striker was no longer part of his plans at Stamford Bridge.

Costa did not take the news well, refusing to return to London after jetting abroad, and he failed to ever play under Conte again.

And there was drama under Jose Mourinho too.

Costa angrily threw a bib in 2015 while sitting on the bench after the Portuguese boss told him he would not be coming on in a match.
