Will Hazard make a comeback?
Eden Hazard, the former Real Madrid player, has reportedly been offered a surprising return to football. Belgian club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise is interested in making a move for the free agent.
Union SG wants Hazard on the pitch
Despite rumors of retirement, Union SG is hoping to persuade Hazard to change his mind. According to AS, the Belgian outfit sees potential in taking Hazard on and getting him back on the pitch.
A Premier League reunion?
Should Hazard accept the offer, he would face an old Premier League rival from his Chelsea days. Union SG is in the Europa League and will be competing against Liverpool in Group E, alongside LASK and Toulouse.
A family affair
All three Hazard brothers could be playing in the same city in Belgium. Thorgan Hazard recently made the switch from Borussia Dortmund to Anderlecht, which is based in Brussels, where Union SG also plays. Additionally, Kylian Hazard is currently playing for RWD Molenbeek in the Belgian capital.
Eden Hazard's career struggles
Eden Hazard, the most successful of the three brothers with 126 international appearances for the Red Devils, had a challenging time during his spell with Real Madrid. He featured in just 76 matches over four years. Retirement has been considered, and Crystal Palace is also reportedly interested in signing him.
Rejecting big-money offers
During the summer transfer window, Hazard turned down a lucrative offer from the Saudi Pro League. It remains to be seen whether he will take up Royale Union Saint-Gilloise's surprising offer.
