EDIN DZEKO is reportedly set to complete a move to Inter Milan, freeing up Tammy Abraham to join Roma.
Djeko, 35, has been thoroughly impressive since arriving at Roma six years ago, scoring 119 goals in 260 games for the club.
But he has now been spotted at the airport preparing to fly out to Milan to seal a deal with the Serie A champions.
Sky Sports Italia have reported that the ex-Manchester City striker is expected to sign a two-year contract with Inter and will earn around £4.2million per season.
When asked about the possible transfer, Dzeko said: “Greetings to the fans. Let’s talk later.”
The Bosnian forward is set to replace the outgoing Romelu Lukaku at Inter, with the Belgian closing in on a move back to Chelsea.
Lukaku is heading to London to finalise his return move to Stamford Bridge having signed a contract extension with his agent in Monaco.
And it is that transfer merry-go-round which has opened the door for Blues striker Abraham to join Jose Mourinho at Roma.
The departure of Dzeko means Mourinho will be eager to move swiftly in securing a new No9.
And Chelsea have received an offer for Abraham from Roma which consists of an initial loan with the option to buy for £34million.

Ahead of the arrival of Lukaku, Abraham fears he is going to slip down the pecking order even more in Thomas Tuchel’s squad.
The 23-year-old was outcast by the German manager towards the end of last season and is now seeking a fresh start.
Arsenal are also said to be keeping tabs on the young Englishman, but Roma remain the frontrunners.
Abraham has been with Chelsea since arriving as a kid in 2004, scoring 30 goals in 82 games for the club.
