Ella Toone says ‘there is nowhere better to learn’ than Manchester United after signing a new deal with the club

, Ella Toone says ‘there is nowhere better to learn’ than Manchester United after signing a new deal with the club

ELLA TOONE says she will never tire of pulling on a Red Devils shirt after agreeing to stay with Manchester United for the next four years.

The Euros-winning forward, 23, gave the WSL top three chasers a huge boost by signing a contract extension.

Ella Toone’s new contract will see her remain with Manchester United until the summer of 2026

The Red Devils forward’s impressive displays have seen her become a firm fan favourite after joining the club in 2018

The new deal for the England ace, who netted seven times in 22 WSL games last term, will see her stay at the club until the end of the 2025-26 season.

It comes four days after Toone was named North West Women’s Footballer of the Year.

The forward, who swapped Man City for a 2018 United move said: “The club’s ambitions really match mine and there’s nowhere better for me to learn.

“To play for my childhood club I support is really special and I’ll never get tired of pulling on the red shirt.

“To now be able to do that for even longer is a proud moment for me and my family.”

Head coach Marc Skinner added: “Ella’s long-term commitment to Manchester United is yet more proof of the club’s continued investment in the future success of this team.

“Ella has always been and remains a key member of our squad on and off the field.

“We are delighted she will continue to wear our famous colours with pride for years to come.”

Toone, a lifelong Red Devils fan who wears the side’s No 7 shirt, featured in a special film on the club’s famous number sevens developed with Adidas.

The video, released earlier this month, includes a number of United No7 icons.

Former and current players featured include Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, Eric Cantona, and Bryan Robson.

The club took the lead twice against Chelsea with Toone on the scoresheet in a dramatic final day of the season clash before losing 4-2 and finishing fourth behind City.

This season Toone has notched up two goals and two assists for her club in six games.

The team are third and will face league leaders Arsenal after the international break.
