ERIC BAILLY has offered his help to new signing Amad Diallo after his arrival at Manchester United.
Bailly wants to help him settle after Wayne Rooney supported the defender following his move.
Bailly told the club website: “I know Amad. I speak with him. He’s a young player with good talent but we know it is important to keep calm with any new guys. I think he will do well but it is important to keep calm with him.
“I am ready to help him. I’m ready to help every player. That, for me, is very important.”
Diallo completed his £37million move to United but the 18-year-old winger will need time to settle and adapt to English football.
Bailly was grateful for the help he received after moving from Villarreal to Old Trafford in 2016.
And he is ready to lend a hand to his Ivory Coast compatriot to ease Diallo into life at United.
Bailly said: When I came to this team, I had players with big experience. I remember [Wayne] Rooney, Ibra [Zlatan Ibrahimovic], Antonio Valencia.
“Players like this helped me when I came. So when young players come, it’s very important to help these guys.”

Right-winger Diallo, who has signed a four-and-a-half-year-contract with United, has made two appearances this season for Atalanta.
The Italian club wanted to keep Diallo for the rest of the season but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was determined to bring him in this month.
The highly-rated attacker is waiting for his visa application to be granted before he can travel to Manchester but will be aiming to make an impact in the second half of the season.
