Erling Haaland addresses Chelsea transfer rumours and admits he is blown away by his £150m price tag

BORUSSIA DORTMUND striker Erling Haaland hopes reports linking him with a move to Chelsea are ‘just rumours’.

The European Champions are thought to be interested in signing the 21-year-old, who insists he’s ‘enjoying his time’ in Germany.

Erling Haaland, 21, is focused on playing for Borussia Dortmund

Discussing a potential move to Chelsea with Sky in Germany, Haaland claimed he had no idea about the reports.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Norway international said: “Before yesterday I haven’t talked to my agent in a month… you’ve to tell me.

“But I hope they are just rumours, as €175million [around £150m] would be a lot of money for one person.”

Rumours suggest Dortmund will not sell Haaland this summer for less than £150m, despite an alleged £65m release clause coming into play in 2022.

Chelsea are thought to be considering a £135MILLION bid for the striker, with reports claiming a players-plus-cash offer has been rejected.

Haaland has also reiterated his desire to stay at Dortmund and honour his contract after winning the German Cup last term.

He told German newspaper Sport Bild via Romano: “First of all I have three years left on my contract.

“I’m enjoying my time here. But of course the trophy was important because that’s what I want.”

Haaland is currently at a training camp in Switzerland with his Dortmund team-mates, filmed spending an extra 30 minutes working on his skills.

It’s thought Chelsea’s priority this summer is to sign a new striker, with rumours linking Timo Werner with a return to Germany.

The Blues have reportedly spoken to Robert Lewandowski’s agent about a possible transfer from Bayern Munich – as an alternative to Haaland.

And they’re believed to be interested in signing Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic, who scored for Austria against Italy at Euro 2020.
