Everton flop Davy Klaassen Set for Shock Deadline Day Transfer to Champions League Giants

On the Brink of Inter Milan Move

Dutch midfielder Davy Klaassen, who struggled to make an impact during his time at Everton, is now on the verge of securing a two-year deal with Inter Milan on transfer deadline day. The 30-year-old made just seven Premier League appearances and failed to score for the club in the 2017-2018 season. However, after a successful stint at boyhood club Ajax, Klaassen is now ready to sign with the Champions League runners-up until 2025.

Free Transfer Deal

According to reports, Inter Milan will not have to pay a transfer fee for Klaassen, despite him having a year left on his contract at Ajax. The Dutch international was seen in Italy completing his medical and finalizing the terms of his new deal. This surprising move comes after Klaassen's return to Ajax, where he won two Eredivisie titles, and a head injury incident that occurred during a match.

Ajax and Inter Milan Busy in the Transfer Window

This summer, Ajax has seen several key players leave, including Jurrien Timber, Edson Alvaraz, Dusan Tadic, Calvin Bassey, and Mohammed Kudus. On the other hand, Inter Milan has been active in the transfer market, bringing in new signings such as Marcus Thuram, Francesco Acerbi, Yann Sommer, Benjamin Pavard, and Alexis Sanchez. Both clubs are gearing up for their Champions League campaigns, with Inter Milan being drawn against Benfica, Red Bull Salzburg, and Real Sociedad in Group D.
