Everton will only rival Man Utd for Jack Grealish if they miss out on transfers for Brazilian pair Soares and Magalhaes

EVERTON will only rival Manchester United for Jack Grealish if they cannot sign Brazilian pair Everton Soares and Gabriel Magalhaes, according to reports.

Aston Villa’s captain has admirers at Goodison Park but Toffees officials reportedly have more pressing priorities.

Brazilian Everton is also rated highly by the club who share his name

Grealish is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s top transfer target as he looks to bolster his Red Devils squad with young, exciting talent.

And while Everton would also like to add him to their ranks, Soares and Magalhaes remain top priorities, according to Sky Sports News.

The Merseysiders have been linked with Soares – the man who shares a name with the club – since last year and were said to be lining up a £25million bid in January.

However, the versatile Gremio forward has been a long-time target for Arsenal as well as Borussia Dortmund.

At the time, the Toffees led the race to sign the 24-year-old after Carlo Ancelotti personally called him to discuss a move to Merseyside and a link up with international teammate Richarlison.

But despite starting to learn English, a move never materialised for the man who hit 15 goals and seven assists in all competitions for Gremio in the 2019 season.

Further down the pitch, the club are keen on £30m-rated Lille defender Magalhaes.

The much-coveted 22-year-old has also drawn attention from Arsenal and Chelsea, with the West Londoners reportedly “far ahead” in the race to secure his signature.

The Brazilian youth international has impressed for Ligue 1 Lille this season, making 24 appearances in the French top flight with his side sitting fourth in the table.

He was also an ever-present in their Champions League campaign, twice featuring against Chelsea – including at Stamford Bridge in December.

A strong imposing defender, who is also adept at playing out from the back, Magalhaes’ improvement this season has drawn admiring glances from across Europe.

Grealish recently risked wrecking his dream Old Trafford move when he crashed his £80,000 car after being out at an all-night party – just hours after urging everyone to stay at home.

The midfielder apologised for his actions and the ordeal has reportedly not put Solskjaer off wanting to sign the £80m-rated Englishman.
