Ex-Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey to ‘join Man Utd in Paul Pogba transfer swap deal with Solskjaer a big fan’

AARON RAMSEY  is set to join Manchester United in a Paul Pogba swap deal with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a big fan of the Juventus star, reports claim.

Juve are offering up Ramsey to the Red Devils in a bid to secure Pogba in the summer transfer window.

Aaron Ramsey could swap with Paul Pogba this summer

Solskjaer is reportedly open to signing the Welshman after being offered the Juve ace in return for Paul Pogba, it has been claimed.

The Welshman ran down his Gunners contract to secure a move away from the Emirates last summer.

But has struggled to make an impact since moving to Serie A and has only scored three goals in Italy’s top-flight this season.

Pogba rejoined United from Juve in 2016 for £89m and was priced out of a move last July after a £180m fee was slapped on his head – since then he has played just eight games.

However, the 27-year-old looks destined to leave this summer after starting only six games since battling injury and it seems the Italian outfit hopes to tempt Pog back to his former club.

SunSport recently revealed United are ready to offload the French midfielder this summer for just £100million.

Pog’s situation hasn’t been helped by Red Devils newbie Bruno Fernandes who instantly became a huge fan favourite, helping fire United into top four contention.

Boss Solskjaer believes the Portuguese international will become a natural leader in the squad.

It is a stark contrast to £89million-rated Pogba who has endured an injury-hit campaign – and there are concerns over how the two would squeeze into the same midfield.

Of course a hefty chunky of cash would still be involved to get any kind of deal over the line.

According to the Transfer Window Podcast, United remain open to the sale of Pogba so long as their price is met and would be willing to negotiate with Ramsey being a part of the deal.

Juve’s Paulo Dybala or Miralem Pjanic were reportedly also linked with to a move to Manchester in a bid to land Pogba.

Real Madrid are currently favourites for the French ace’s signature but the Serie A side hope to turn the tide in their favour by offering one of the talented players in a swap.

Dimitar Berbatov believes the Spanish capital could be his next destination because of the French connection he has with Zidane.

Pogba has reportedly made it clear he will be furious if United extend his contract amid interest from Madrid but the Red Devils have the option to extend his deal by an additional year.

This would strengthen their bargaining position when it comes to his exit.

Pogba has failed to score in the Premier League this campaign and it seems both the Frenchman and United are keen to part ways.
