EDDIE HOWE has confused fans after claiming his side does not time waste after Newcastle beat Manchester United.
Toon beat United 2-0 at St. James’ Park to leapfrog them into third in the Premier League table.

And after the game Howe responded to Erik ten Hag‘s accusation that Newcastle deliberately ran the clock down during their goalless draw at Old Trafford earlier this season.
Ten Hag called the tactics “annoying” but Howe could not understand the claim and hit back at the Dutchman after the match.
He said: “I want to make one thing very clear – we want the ball in play. We want a quick game.
“I don’t get where this time-wasting nonsense has come from because it’s not us and you saw today, we wanted the ball back in play as quickly as possible. High energy, high tempo.”
However many football fans sided with Ten Hag, with Arsenal supporters particularly quick to point out Howe’s hypocrisy.
Many suggested Newcastle time wasted throughout their match at The Emirates and produced tactics to reduce the amount of time the ball was in play.
One fan said: “Only when it suits but Howe is a hypocrite because he has time wasted.”
Another added: “Yes, definitely not 
he should go back to the Emirates game and tell us how many minutes was the ball in play.”
A third said: “’ve never seen a team waste as much time as they did at Emirates.”
And another commented: “Rewatch the game against Arsenal then Eddie lad. Started time wasting from 30 seconds in. I get that’s a part of the game and you gotta do what you gotta do, but at least take it on the chest and not back off.”
Howe was delighted with his side’s performance in the win over United, as the Magpies dominated for large parts.
He said after the game: “I’ll always stand up for my team. I’ll always stand up for what I believe is right, and that’s what I’ll always do. I think if something’s not accurate, then naturally you want to put the right point across.
“But we fully deserved the win. We showed real belief. Today is a blueprint for how we want the team to play, in almost every phase.”
