RIO FERDINAND has joined in on the mocking of Paul Scholes after the Manchester United legend was filmed biting his daughter’s toenails.
The ex-Red Devils midfielder has been teased online after his daughter Alicia, 20, shared footage of him nibbling on her big toe on Saturday.
And Ferdinand, who played alongside Scholes at Old Trafford between 2002-2013, mocked the 46-year-old during United’s humiliating 5-0 defeat against Liverpool on Sunday.
Ferdinand took to Twitter where he uploaded a picture of his trotters in A&E after being taken to hospital with an undisclosed medical issue.
One fan immediately replied to his tweet with a picture of Scholes chewing Alicia’s toenails, where he said: “He will be there soon Rio. Sit tight.”
To which Ferdinand quipped: “Scholesy en route!”
His followers were loving the exchange, as one commented: “Hahaha this is peak banter.”
Another messaged: “Fair play to rio for this reply.”

A third added: “We may have lost today but this is a win in my book.”
Meanwhile one simply stated: “Even Rio is going in!”
But while Ferdinand was in a mood to joke about his ex-team-mate, he failed to hold back on United who were embarrassed at the Theatre of Dreams.
Tweeting at half-time when Liverpool were 4-0 up, the 42-year-old said: “We are always gonna pose a threat because of the individuals we have.
“But we are so easy to play through it’s unreal! Embarrassing 1st half… men against boys!”
Fellow United icon Gary Neville was also scathing in his assessment, as he told Sky Sports: “This has been a monstrous day for Manchester United.
“They have been obliterated. That was unacceptable. This is as bad as it gets. It’s the nature of the performance. They have capitulated.
“They’ve lost everything today – discipline, organisation. But what stands out in my mind is their organisation around the press. Finding the trigger, not getting there half-hearted.
“City can press, Liverpool can press. Manchester United are kidding themselves today that they are a pressing team. They are all over the place.
“The manager and his coaching staff have to take the blame for the pressing game today.
“Why would you do that? They are not a pressing team. They haven’t got it in them. If you are going to press, put in Lingard and the others who can run all day.”
