Ferran Torres loses his Barcelona and Nike badges from kit and breaks down in tears after draw with Napoli

FERRAN TORRES had everyone talking after Barcelona’s Europa League draw with Napoli – and not just for his goal.

Eagle-eyed viewers spotted a strange issue with the former Manchester City man during the 1-1 draw in the knockout stage.

Zielinski fired Napoli ahead against the run of play but Torres equalised from the spot after Barcelona were awarded a controversial penalty.

But as he ran away celebrating, a number of those watching spotted an issue with his shirt.

The Spaniard’s jersey did not have either a Nike logo or the club’s official badge on it – unlike the rest of his team-mates.

It remains unclear as to why his was lacking them, but it did not go unnoticed.

One viewer joked: “Nah man Messi has made Barca so broke they couldn’t afford team’s official badge on Ferran Torres shirt this is so sad to see.”

Another wrote: “Barca can’t even afford to get Ferran Torres a legitimate shirt,” which was followed by three laughing emojis.”

While a fellow viewer commented: “Ferran Torres’ shirt looks like it was bought at the bottom of La Rambla and then put through a 40 degree wash.”

Torres then appeared to be in tears after the game despite his equaliser.

The forward spent much of the evening missing chances and squandered at least three clear cut opportunities.

And he was visibly upset following the final whistle as he was pictured with his head in his shirt while being consoled by his team-mates.
