Feyenoord vs Ajax stopped TWICE as ex-Premier League star left with blood pouring from head after he’s hit with object

CHAOTIC scenes took place in the Netherlands on Wednesday evening as Feyenoord’s clash with Ajax was suspended on TWO separate occasions.

Feyenoord fans set off flairs less than a minute into the KNVB Cup semi-final, leading to the players being taken off.

But the smoke cloud grew

Davy Klaassen was floored by the object thrown at his head

Officials waited for the smoke to clear before both teams returned to the pitch with Ajax leading 1-0 thanks to former Southampton man Dusan Tadic.

But that was not the end of the controversy.

Midway through the first half, former Everton man Davy Klaassen was then hit on the back of the head by an object.

It left him in a bloody mess as the players were taken from the field once more.

Pictures of the smoke cloud were shared on social media and fans were quick to share their thoughts.

One tweeted: “This is crazy.”

A second wrote: “Football is more than a game to us.”

A third commented: “European soccer fans really get to do whatever they want.”

The game eventually resumed and Santiago Gimenez levelled up the scoreline for Feyenoord on the stroke of half-time.

But six minutes into the second period Ajax regained the lead through Klaassen.

They will now face PSV in the KNVB Cup final on April 30.
