OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER insists nothing is beyond his players as he bids to bring the title back to Old Trafford for the first time in nine years.
Manchester United have not even challenged for it since Sir Alex Ferguson retired as manager back in 2013.
They have had two distant runners-up spots one of which came last season.
But now Solskjaer fully believes there is a determination in the ranks to regain that top spot in English football.
“Nothing is beyond these players. I wouldn’t put it past them,” said Solskjaer.
United open up their campaign in a Saturday lunchtime humdinger against Leeds United at Old Trafford and Solskjaer believes that game could set the tone for their season.
The Red Devils boss said: “The first game is a big one. It decides the mood with the club, the fans and the players, then we’ve got two more before the international break then we can review if we are where we want to be.
“We have to get a good start, we have expectations, and my expectations are we keep developing our style and play good football.

“Hopefully when we get to March, April, May, we’re there or thereabouts, the team is hungry.
“I feel confident going into the new season. This club is about trophies.”
Unfortunately for Solskjaer, a trophy is something they have not had under his charge.
They have reached five semi-finals and one final so are certainly knocking on the door.
He will be hoping new signings Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane will help them open it.
Centre-back Varane is still to complete his deal so is not available for the Leeds game.
But £77.3million winger Sancho most definitely will after hitting the ground running in training since Monday and is set to start against Leeds.
Solskjaer said: “Jadon is going to be involved, definitely.

“Unfortunately, he was ill after his holiday, so we lost out on a few days of training with him but he’s had a good week, gelled really well with the group, and has looked sharper than expected.
“Raphael has not trained with us. Not all the dots have gone on the ‘I’s yet or crossed the ‘t’s.
“Things happen and things take time and unfortunately the isolation has delayed these things, it’s not 100% done, hopefully, it’ll be done soon.”
