From sharpest shooter to dirtiest player, the Premier League’s heroes and villains of the past decade revealed

THE Premier League heroes and villains between 2010 and 2019 have been revealed- and there are some shocking entries on the lists.

Others, though, were hardly a turn up for the books (who saw Marouane Fellaini committing the most fouls?)

The heroes and villains of the Prem over the past decade have been revealed

Anyway, read on below to find out who had a decade of dominance, and who had a decade of disaster.

Most games

Jordan Henderson comes out on top, pipping Liverpool team-mate James Milner by just one.

Goalkeeper Ben Foster, with Watford since 2018, is third on the list.

Most goals (player)

Sergio Aguero is the most lethal striker in the Prem of the past 10 years.

The former City frontman bagged 174 goals which was more than the highest in the 2000s (Thierry Henry – 169) and the 1990s (Alan Shearer – 167 from August 1992).

What’s more, Aguero scored in 124 games, 30 more than any other player.

Most goals (club)

Man City scored 845 goals this decade and amassed the most points with 818.

Chelsea and Liverpool are second having both scored 715 goals, some 27 more than Man Utd.

Most own goals

This dubious honour went to former Liverpool star Martin Skrtel.

Of the 382 own goals, Skrtel had seven of them, two more than any other player.

Most shots on target

If you score the most goals, it follows you’d also have the most shots on target.

Step forward Aguero, who had 396 shots on target – 60 more than second-placed Harry Kane.

Romelu Lukaku was third with 316.

Most assists

David Silva was by and far away the best supplier of goals in the Premier League, notching up 89 assists for Man City.

Spurs star Christian Eriksen is second on 62 and Silva’s team-mate Kevin De Bruyne third on 58 – even though he only had three Prem appearances prior to moving to the Etihad in 2015.

Most bookings

Gareth Barry topped the list of most appearances all-time (653) and most bookings, with 64 yellows and three reds totalling 67 cards.

Zabaleta (63), Mark Noble and Lee Cattermole (61) and Vincent Kompany (54) round out the top five.

Most passes completed

It was a City masterclass at the top of this leaderboard with Silva (15,730) and Yaya Toure (13,995) the top two.

Henderson was third with 13,828.

Silva also topped the list of most passes attempted, with 18,059.

Most fouls conceded

No prizes for guessing this one: It was Marouane Fellaini.

The man who is all elbows racked up an impressive 423 fouls over the decade – and was responsible for its greatest photo.

Most fouls won

Wilfried Zaha earned 515 and Raheem Sterling the third most with 446.

Former Man City and West Ham hardman Pablo Zabaleta came out on top.

The 34-year-old, who had been in the English top flight since joining City in 2008, made an unbeaten 799 tackles.
