Fulham boss Marco Silva takes brutal dig at departing striker Aleksandar Mitrovic after his move to Al-Hilal

Marco Silva, the manager of Fulham, couldn't resist delivering a scathing blow to striker Aleksandar Mitrovic after he completed his transfer move to Al-Hilal in the Middle East. Mitrovic, who has just sealed a £43 million move, will now join forces with Neymar, who recently agreed to join Al-Hilal from Paris-Saint-Germain.

Fan Favorite Mitrovic's Fall From Grace

Mitrovic, the former Newcastle player, had been a fan favorite at Fulham, having scored an impressive 111 goals in 205 games, with 14 of those goals coming in the Premier League last season. However, his popularity dwindled last month when he allegedly refused to play for the club after a bid from Al-Hilal was rejected.

Mega-Money Move and Departure

Although Mitrovic made a brief appearance off the bench in Fulham's recent 1-0 victory against Everton, he missed their 4-1 home defeat to Brentford as he flew out to complete his lucrative move. Al-Hilal confirmed his arrival today, with Mitrovic seen wearing the team's colors.

Silva's Scorn

Meanwhile, manager Marco Silva didn't hold back in expressing his thoughts on Mitrovic's departure. Silva stated, "He forced everything to leave the club, he wanted to leave the club," and made it clear that he did not view the striker's behavior as normal or appropriate for a football player.

Potential Replacement: Hugo Ekitike

In light of Mitrovic's exit, Fulham is now considering signing PSG's Hugo Ekitike as his replacement. The 21-year-old forward, who spent last season on loan at PSG from Stade Reims, recently made his move permanent for £24 million. However, PSG is already looking to cash in on him and is seeking between £30 million and £34 million for his transfer. Ekitike is also attracting interest from Everton, West Ham, and various European clubs.
