SOUTHAMPTON talisman James Ward-Prowse has proved his talent extends further than just the football pitch.
After helping the Saints to a 2-0 win over Norwich on Friday night, the midfielder had Sky Sports pundits Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville in stitches on the sidelines.
Ward-Prowse had Neville and Carragher in hysterics with his impressions
Following some brief analysis on his free kicks Liverpool legend Carragher switched to the main event – Ward Prowse’s impression skills.
He pleaded for a taster of Ward Prowse’s accents, but the midfielder initially refused.
The Sky Sports pundit then begged: “Go on, have you got a Neville one?”
To which Ward Prowse replied: “I’ll save it for another day, I wasn’t prepared for this otherwise I would have done it!”
But Carragher insisted: “We gave you the biggest build up, come on!”
In an impressive Mancunian accent, Ward Prowse gave in and mimicked Neville by saying: “It’s a great touch there, you can see, Romeu,” exaggerating the ending of the words, Neville style.
The ex-Manchester United man howled with laughter at the impression, as did the onlooking Carragher, Oriol Romeu and Sky Sports presenter Kelly Cates.
A shy Ward-Prowse then said: “I’ve got a few more but I’ll save them for another day.”
But Carragher wouldn’t let him off as he continued: “Have you got my one?”
And Ward-Prowse, on a roll at that point, chimed: “Yeah I’ve got a general Scouse one, you know what I mean.”
Again the punditry pair were left giggling by the England international’s hilarious impression.
Neville and Carragher always seem to have a whale of a time on Friday Night Football, with the latter particularly enjoying a clash between Brentford and Watford back in December.
