Granit Xhaka deletes Arsenal profile pic on Instagram and switches to one from Switzerland game as fan row rumbles on

GRANIT XHAKA has deleted a picture of himself in an Arsenal kit from his Instagram page amid his toxic row with fans.

The club captain has refused to apologise after he appeared to tell supporters to “f*** off” during the 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace.

Granit Xhaka removed the image for all of his 2million followers to see

Xhaka’s eagle-eyed social media followers noticed that the 27-year-old had changed the main image on his profile.

It switched from a picture of him playing for the Gunners to a snap of him in action for Switzerland.

After two separate screenshots went viral on Twitter, one furious fan replied: “Good, now leave in January and everyone is happy.”

While another added: “Get him out #XhakaOut.”

Emery has confirmed that Xhaka will not play against Liverpool in their Carabao Cup game on Wednesday after his explosive outburst as he was subbed off on Sunday.

And he even hinted that Mesut Ozil – who has made just two appearances this season – could wear the armband at Anfield.

Gunners veteran Martin Keown has blamed the situation on Emery, but not every club legend is in agreement.

Emmanuel Petit has insisted that it is “impossible” for the former Borussia Monchengladbach man to stay as the skipper.

Ian Wright has urged Xhaka to apologise, but the midfielder’s best friend has jumped to his defence as he claimed the critics are fickle tourists.
