GRANIT XHAKA added fuel to the fire as he deleted a picture of himself in an Arsenal kit from his Instagram page.
The club captain has refused to apologise after he appeared to tell fans to “f*** off” during the 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace.
Xhaka’s eagle-eyed social media followers noticed that the 27-year-old had changed the main image on his profile.
It switched from a picture of him playing for the Gunners to a snap of him in action for Switzerland.
After two separate screenshots went viral on Twitter, one furious fan replied: “Good, now leave in January and everyone is happy.”
While another added: “Get him out #XhakaOut.”
Emery has confirmed that Xhaka will not play against Liverpool after his explosive outburst as he was subbed off on Sunday.
And he even hinted that Mesut Ozil – who has made just two appearances this season – could wear the armband at Anfield.
Gunners veteran Martin Keown has blamed the situation on Emery, but not every club legend is in agreement.
