Harry Kane ‘wanted by Juventus in shock transfer to link up with Cristiano Ronaldo’ with Man Utd also keen

JUVENTUS are interested in making an audacious move for Tottenham Hotspur talisman Harry Kane, according to reports.

Spurs crashed out of the Champions League at the hands of RB Leipzig in meek fashion last night – having already been eliminated from both domestic cups and sitting eighth in the Premier League.

And Juve chiefs are hoping to capitalise on the turmoil in North London to secure a major summer coup.

According to Tuttosport, the Serie A champions believe that Kane can be the perfect foil for Cristiano Ronaldo – just as Karim Benzema was for years at Real Madrid.

Using a near telepathic understanding with the Frenchman, Ronaldo smashed in an astonishing 450 goals for the Spanish giants.

His time at the Bernabeu came to an end in 2018, when Juventus splashed out on the 35-year-old, viewing him as the missing piece of the jigsaw in order to get their hands on the Champions League.

But despite Ronaldo having won the competition four times in Madrid, it hasn’t yet worked out that way in Turin.

The Old Lady crashed out at the hands of Ajax last season – and are on the brink this year having lost their round of 16 first leg to Lyon.

Club bosses are desperate to hoist the famous trophy for the first time since 1996, having also spent big on Matthijs de Ligt from conquerors Ajax back in the summer.

And the Italian report suggests that they are willing to do the same again – this time for Kane.

The England captain, 26, has never shown any indication of leaving Spurs in the past – despite long-term admiration from Manchester United.

But he has recently been said to be “considering his future”, amid a another trophyless season at boyhood club Spurs.

Kane has frustratingly been unable to contribute to the Lilywhites’ cause since January 1 because of a ruptured hamstring.

The intervening period has seen them look toothless in attack, having subsequently lost Son Heung-min to injury too.

Jose Mourinho has shown little sign of getting a tune out of what he’s been left to work with – and Kane could consider a move to Juventus as a guarantee of finally lifting silverware.

Maurizio Sarri’s side haven’t been at their best this year – but still sit a point clear of second-placed Lazio at the Serie A summit, as the league has gone into a coronavirus-induced break.

Italy has so far been the European country worst-affected by the disease by quite a distance – with 631 people having so far been killed there by the virus.
