How Arsenal could line up vs Leeds with Arteta sweating over Zinchenko and Jesus injuries while Saka could be rested

OLEKSANDR ZINCHENKO is a doubt for Arsenal’s trip to Leeds due to a calf injury.

The £32million summer signing missed last week’s win over Liverpool and was not in the squad for last night’s game against Bodo/Glimt.

A likely Arsenal line up to play Leeds

The Gunners travel to Leeds on Sunday looking for a ninth win in 10 Premier League games.

If Zinchenko is ruled out again, Takehiro Tomiyasu could continue at left-back after impressing against Liverpool.

And with Kieran Tierney starting there in the Europa League and Tomiyasu rested, that could be an early indication of Mikel Arteta’s thinking.

Arsenal were also left sweating on the fitness of Gabriel Jesus.

The striker needed treatment after taking a blow to the face from Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas on Sunday.

Jesus didn’t train in the week and didn’t travel to Norway, but IS expected to be back for the trip to Elland Road.

While Bukayo Saka is almost guaranteed to start, there is a case to rest the 21-year-old winger.

Saka has started all nine Premier League games, as well as the 1-0 Europa League win over Bodo/Glimt, so could be beginning to feel the effects of the hectic schedule.

Elsewhere Ben White is expected to continue at right-back, with William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes also in defence.

Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey will partner each other in midfield.

Gabriel Martinelli will look to keep up his stunning form on the left, and skipper Martin Odegaard will play in behind Jesus.

Alternatively, if Arteta decides Saka is in need of a rest the boss could switch Martinelli to the right hand side and play Marquinhos on the left.

Zinchenko is also likely to start if passed fit to play.

And if the Gunners want to be extra cautious about Jesus, Eddie Nketiah may be brought in to lead the line.
