How Chelsea could line-up against Leicester with Thomas Tuchel having fitness doubts over Mateo Kovacic and Christensen

CHELSEA boss Thomas Tuchel faces some huge selection decisions ahead of his side’s crunch Premier League clash with Leicester on Tuesday night.

The Blues currently sit just one point above fifth place Liverpool with two games remaining and will open the door to Jurgen Klopp’s team if they fail to win against the Foxes.

Here is how we think Chelsea will line up against Leicester on Tuesday

Meanwhile, a win for Tuchel’s men would leave Leicester in a perilous position heading into the final weekend of the season.

The massive top four decider comes just 72 hours after Leicester beat Chelsea 1-0 to win the FA Cup for the first time in the club’s history.

And so Tuchel will have to carefully consider what team he puts out as he looks to avoid back-to-back defeats at the hands of Brendan Rodgers’ impressive outfit.

Mateo Kovacic is continuing his return to fitness after 10 games out and will hope to be back for this one in place of Jorginho.

And Andreas Christensen will also be looking to re-claim his role in the back three from Kurt Zouma having picked up an injury against Manchester City 10 days ago.

Edouard Mendy is expected to return between the sticks after second choice keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga failed to keep clean sheets in the matches against Arsenal and Leicester.

Ben Chilwell will likely come in for Marcos Alonso at left wing-back, with Reece James on the other side.

And then there is the host of attacking options that Tuchel has at his disposal for the front three positions.

Tuchel may choose to go with Jorginho and Zouma if Kovacic and Christensen are not fit

Mason Mount is the only player in the forward line that you imagine is a nailed on starter for the huge Premier League game against Leicester.

Timo Werner struggled to make an impact at Wembley and so could well be taken out of the firing line for Christian Pulisic.

Alternatively, the German coach may instead choose to go with both Werner and Pulisic and drop Kai Havertz.

The Leicester game is the first of three matches in 11 days for Chelsea.

They conclude their Premier League campaign on Sunday away at Aston Villa.

And then they have the Champions League final against Manchester City on Saturday, May 29.
