How Chelsea could line up next season with Raphinha and Raheem Sterling either side of Kai Havertz in scary attack

CHELSEA are set to boast some serious firepower next season which may well turn them into title contenders.

As exclusively revealed by SunSport, the Blues are plotting a £105million double swoop for Raphinha and Raheem Sterling.

How Chelsea could potentially line up next season

New owner Todd Boehly appears primed to deliver Thomas Tuchel the goods this summer, with Leeds’ Brazilian ace set to be the first to arrive for £55m.

Manchester City star Sterling could then follow for £50m, and both are likely to slot straight into Tuchel’s starting line-up.

A front three of Raphinha and Sterling, either side of Kai Havertz, is sure to have Premier League defenders dreading a trip to the Bridge.

The double signing may force Mason Mount to drop a little deeper and play in the middle alongside N’Golo Kante.

Meanwhile reinforcements are also expected at the back following the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.

Jules Kounde has been strongly linked with a move to West London for months and some reports suggest the Frenchman has already agreed personal terms with the Blues.

And Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly has also reportedly been added to Tuchel’s shortlist.

The two potential new additions in defence, as well as attack, could well transform Chelsea into a side capable of challenging for the title.

Veteran Thiago Silva is expected to continue to anchor the defence ahead of Edouard Mendy in goal, with the returning Ben Chilwell and classy Reece James marauding down the flanks.

Alternatively the Blues have also been linked with Juventus centre-back Matthijs de Ligt.

However, they do not have any intentions of meeting De Ligt’s £103m release clause, according to Sky in Italy.

Elsewhere at the back, if the moves for Raphinha and Sterling take up the majority of Chelsea’s summer funds, academy graduate Trevoh Chalobah could see more regular action.

New owner Boehly though is said to have given the green light for up to SIX signings before the end of the transfer window and willing to spend £200m.

If the American businessman gets his way then Tuchel will boast a side more than capable of going toe to toe with Manchester City and Liverpool.
