How Everton could look after January transfer window with James Rodriguez and Meret replacing Sigurdsson and Pickford

CARLO ANCELOTTI claimed rebuilding his Everton squad is similar to the project he faced at Paris Saint-Germain.

And SunSport exclusively revealed that the Italian will begin his revolution by signing a new goalkeeper to replace Jordan Pickford.

Ancelotti is keen to strengthen his team across all areas of the pitch, but a new keeper is a top priority following Pickford’s shaky spell of form.

The manager has ordered the Everton board to find him a new goalkeeper this month after running out of patience with the England star.

Alex Meret has emerged as a possible option for the Toffees as he played under the management of Ancelotti at Napoli.

He will also look to bolster his defence – who have conceded more goals than any team in the top 10 of the Premier League.

Ancelotti is reportedly lining up a shock swoop for former Liverpool defender Ragnar Klavan.

But the Estonian veteran, 34, is under contract with Serie A side Cagliari until the end of the season.

In a bid to bolster his midfield, Ancelotti has made James Rodriguez his top target.

The former PSG boss has allegedly given the club the green light to land the Colombian star on loan this month.

Ancelotti wants some fresh faces in the midfield as SunSport exclusively revealed he wants to dump Gylfi Sigurdsson.

According to Aksam, the Toffees have also set their sights on signing French midfielder Steven Nzonzi.

The 31-year-old, who has played for Stoke and Blackburn, is said to be keen to end his loan spell with Galatasaray and return to England.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is expected to continue leading the line as he has found a new lease of life since Ancelotti’s arrival.

He scored the first three goals of the Italian’s reign to secure victories over Burnley and Newcastle.
