How Inter could line up next season with SEVEN ex-Premier League stars as Conte eyes Aubameyang and Chong

ANTONIO CONTE has developed a strong Inter Milan team out of former Premier League stars and could soon return to England for more signings.

Both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Tahith Chong are strongly linked with the Serie A club for a summer switch.

Already, Inter boast five players signed from the Prem with Romelu Lukaku setting the trend with a 74million move from Manchester United.

The Belgian has been a huge success story and reached 20 goals for the Nerazzurri in just 29 matches – beating the time taken by Ronaldo Nazario, Hernan Crespo and Christian Vieri.

Conte should have Lukaku as one of the first names on his teamsheet next season but there is some doubt over who will partner him.

Speculation continues over Lautaro Martinez with Barcelona and Real Madrid duelling over a 92million deal.

If the Argentine departs, money will be free to sign Arsenal captain Aubameyang should the Gunners decide to cash in on the 31-year-old before his contract expires.

In addition, Inter appear set to have a trump card in luring the striker away from North London: Champions League football.

A midfield featuring three former Premier League players could also be crafted with ex-Tottenham playmaker Eriksen signed on a permanent deal in January.

Amid talk of current first-choice Matias Vecino heading to Chelsea for 23m, the club will fight tooth and nail to keep Croatian ace Marcleo Brozovic.

But they may decide to find a replacement for Antonio Candreva, 32, with United youngster Chong one key target.

Conte’s success with Prem old boys could entice further signings

Out of contract in June, the Dutch teenager is also wanted by Juventus while the Red Devils try and persuade him to stay.

The best route for Conte’s Milan could be to blow their rivals out of the water and offer Chong a five-year contract worth 6m.

And the midfield would then be complete if there were enough funds to secure fellow Old Trafford winger Alexis Sanchez on another loan or permanent switch.

TAKING THE VIC

Certain managers like certain players and Victor Moses has enjoyed great success under Conte.

Title winners at Chelsea, the pair are combining once again with Moses setting up Lukaku with a smart cross in the 4-2 triumph over AC Milan earlier this month.

Such moments could persuade Inter to make the Nigerian’s loan stay a long-term one and Ashley Young is also doing well to convince the club over his future.

In signing the 34-year-old from United on an initial six-month stay, the Biscione have the option of extending his contract by a further year.

It is hard to see why they would decide not to, given Young’s impressive maiden strike for his new team against Lazio on the weekend – after it took him only 28 minutes to register an assist en debut.

Completing the team would be star centre-backs Diego Godin and Milan Skriniar, with Stefan de Vrij for cover and Samir Handanovic in goal.

It would then seem easy to imagine another charge for the Scudetto, whether they are successful this year or not, as ex-Chelsea boss Conte continues to draw on his English connections to push for honours back home.
