How Liverpool could line up with Kylian Mbappe and Jeremy Doku in attack and Jude Bellingham running the midfield

LIVERPOOL could boast a stunning attack with Kylian Mbappe and Jeremy Doku next year.

And Jude Bellingham may be pulling the strings in midfield.

Kylian Mbappe might be on his way to Liverpool if he quits PSG

Jurgen Klopp is keen for a refresh by bringing in some new faces to add to his talented but ageing squad.

The highlight signing could be Mbappe.

The French forward is unhappy at Paris Saint-Germain and even feels “betrayed” by the club to the point where he is considering “breaking his contract” – just months after signing the bumper deal.

And as he nears towards the Parc des Princes exit door, there is growing suggestion his next step could be Liverpool.

The Reds are reportedly ready to stump up a staggering £175million for the World Cup winner – rivalling Real Madrid to his signature.

Mbappe would surely spearhead the attack – possibly alongside or instead of Darwin Nunez – with Mo Salah shining from the right wing.

Then on the other flank, Doku could provide the spark.

Klopp is said to be a big fan of the Rennes winger – especially after losing Sadio Mane and Luis Diaz’s injury.

However, Chelsea and Arsenal are also chasing the 20-year-old Belgian.

In midfield, the Anfield side need further recruits.

Fabinho is the undisputed first choice in the No6 role.

Thiago, Jordan Henderson and James Milner are all the wrong side of 30 while Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and now loanee Arthur Melo are plagued by injuries.

Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott are exciting youngsters but the addition of Bellingham would be a major coup.

The Borussia Dortmund teenager, who has captained his club this season, is already experienced at senior international level and looks set to start for England in Qatar.

He could join Fabinho in a midfield two – similar to playing with Declan Rice for the Three Lions – or in a slightly more advanced No8 role with Thiago or Elliott.

However, Liverpool are behind Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid in the race for the talented technician in midfield.

Defensively, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson are the favoured pairing at full-back for Liverpool.

Virgil van Dijk tends to be partnered by Joel Matip or Ibrahima Konate at centre-back – although Galatasaray defender Victor Nelsson has been linked.

In goal, Alisson is the clear No1 and will not be losing his place between the sticks any time soon.
