‘I’m not a politician, stop asking me’ – Watch Emotional Chelsea boss Tuchel hits back over Roman Abramovich questions

CHELSEA boss Thomas Tuchel snapped at reporters after being continuously asked about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The German gaffer previously insisted that he would be happy for the Blues to lose their Carabao Cup final against Liverpool if it meant ending the conflict between the two countries.

Thomas Tuchel has demanded reporters stop asking him questions about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine

Blues owner Roman Abramovich has handed over control of the club to their six trustees

And Tuchel was again asked for his thoughts of the ongoing war in the wake of Chelsea’s Russian owner Roman Abramovich handing over the stewardship of the club.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the West London outfit‘s FA Cup clash against Luton on Tuesday, Tuchel demanded reporters to stop with their questions on the matter.

The 48-year-old said: “Listen, listen, listen you have to stop, I’m not a politician.

“You have to stop, honestly, I can only repeat it and I feel bad to repeat it because I’ve never experienced war.

“‘So even to talk about it I feel bad because I’m very privileged – I sit here in peace.

“I do the best I can but you have to stop asking me these questions because I have no answers for you.”

Tuchel’s passionate speech came after he revealed how Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is seriously affecting him.

He remarked: “You decide also to ask me about war. It’s horrible, of course it’s horrible, there cannot be any other opinion about it and that’s it.

“But why should we be more distracted than you at work? Of course it’s out there and we know there are more important things out there and this will never change.

“This is sports and there are a lot of more important things out there and still there’s a huge distraction going on, we are worried by we try to create an atmosphere to come to work and focus on our work which is our passion.

“We are very grateful and privileged to have it and it’s not that big a problem. But of course I think that everyone in Europe, more or less, has some noise in their head that nobody likes.

“It’s maybe the same for you, but you try to do your job as best as possible and it’s the same for us.”

Chelsea are currently being probed after Abramovich handed control of the Champions League holders over to the trustees of the club’s charitable foundation.

However, the six trustees are yet to formally accept the transition but talks have already begun with further discussions planned for this week.
